parkeharrison.

fine art photographer robert parkeharrison is most known for his work with his wife shana...
.. his photographs are to tell us stories of loss.. human struggle and personal exploration within landscaped scarred by technology and over use..
. also to 'strive metaphonrically and poetically link laborious actions, idiosyncratic rituals and strangely crude machines into tales about our modern experience'

the images from a traveling exhibition 'the architect's brother'

i find these images... in fact all of parkeharrison's photography so interesting to look at.. the eeriness of the landscapes are quite moving...

some of my favourite images from this fine art photographer's ever growing collection

most of these images taken from 'holga experiments' were from the the holga camera he had bought out of necessity and curiosity..to explore a more basic approach to taking a photograph..finding an entirely new context of what perfect is or could be..

& the golden age of the ballets russes
1909-1929

held at the v&a until 9jan11 is the exhibition celebrating the legacy of the ballet russes. the exhibition rooms seem to go on forever.. you need a good 2 hours to take in everything properly!

the history of diaghilev.. the creation and transformation of russian dance and culture into the west.. his love affair with male dancer Nijinsky... the art.. the costumes and the influences that diaghilev's creations still have in on designers and artists now.. are all displayed here..

a couple of shots of the films of ballets russes

an amazing high ceiling room which plays music composed for the ballets russes with giant shadow projections
